Unfortunately, too many Christians have a big misunderstanding of end time events and concepts. And they really have a poor understanding of the Harlot, the Antichrist and the Beast. The current conventional wisdom among some Christians, particularly in the West, is that some Antichrist guy will just appear out of nowhere and force everyone to receive the mark of the Beast, and then simply bow and worship him or be killed. Oh yeah, there’s a Great Harlot who rides some awful Beast, and somehow she is connected to the Antichrist. Really? Can something so important be so simple? There’s a lot of confusion surround the Beast and its Horns. There’s even more confusion about how the Harlot is related to the Antichrist, and how the Antichrist is related to the Beast, and why the Harlot rides the Beast.

The more important question that Christians everywhere should ask is this: Why will a world full of billions of human beings come to worship one man, and how long will it take to condition so many people to be subjected to the rule of this Antichrist, the Beast, the Image of the Beast, and the Harlot? We’re not going to go into a lot of detail in this article because we want to simply introduce a correct, basic understanding of end time events and concepts at a user-friendly level so that you have the tools you need to spark your own research in the right direction.
To put it bluntly, it is quite ridiculous to assume that one charismatic, charming man will just appear out of nowhere overnight and force an entire planet to worship him, much less to have governments and law enforcement agencies worldwide to just hand over their authority to him. That’s preposterous! There have been plenty of charismatic men who have failed to even convince one continent to bow down or even to be subject to them. There are charismatic men in TV commercials and major movies who fail to sway billions of human beings.
So how long should it take? Daniel chapter 2 gives us the biggest clue.
You can read Daniel 2 for yourself, but let’s just say that Daniel’s revelation of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream shows that from the first day of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign until Jesus Christ returns to overthrow the governments of mankind so far spans almost 2,600 years in the making. Serious students of Bible prophecy should recognize this timeline, but many Christians will be a bit surprised by this truth. To sum it up in other words, the Harlot Antichrist Beast system (HAB System) has been growing like yeast since the remaining three tribes of Israel went into the Babylonian captivity in the B.C. era.
Think about it: why did the Lord give Nebuchadnezzar a dream of this statue of a great man with him (Nebuchadnezzar) being the head of gold on this statue? It’s because the Lord sent the remaining three tribes of Israel (Judah, Levi and Benjamin) to Babylon to be subject to Nebuchadnezzar’s rule. That’s the Beast part of the HAB system, for “beast” in Bible prophecy is symbolic of governments, specifically Gentile governments.
But what about the Harlot and the Antichrist?
Recall that early in Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar recruited the best, brightest and most good looking men from among the 3-tribe Israelites to be his top advisors. This is important because the Harlot is mysterious, preferring to wield her power from behind the scenes, allowing the people under the Beast’s authority to only interact with the Beast, not her. This is why in Revelation 17, we see that the Harlot sits on TOP of the Beast, while the masses of people are UNDERNEATH the Beast she rides. When the people look up, they only see the underside of the Beast. Nebuchadnezzar lavished these advisors with luxuries and comfort, and they responded in kind, telling what he wanted to hear and holding great sway among the people. In Daniel, we see the HAB system taking shape.
Is there an importance to the fact that the main beast in Revelation comes out of the sea, while the second beast with two horns comes out of the earth? Yes. The physical things that the Lord has created in our world have another layer of meaning spiritually. The sea represents a dense population of people in various nations. Conversely, the earth is dry, having some ponds and lakes scattered throughout, but mainly dry. This means a less populated area having a sparse, scattered population. One school of thought in Bible prophecy is that the United States, which came out of nowhere in the middle of a sparsely populated country, fits this description. This especially seems to fit since those who invaded this land and seized it from the Indians came from the densely populated Eurasian continent (West and East, like the legs of the statue in Daniel 2) with the power and authority of those in European and Asian capitals who overturned the so-called Old World Order in order to make way for a New World Order; with Jerusalem and Israel being created by a two-pronged effort of Britain in “Sea Beast” Europe (Balfour Agreement/WWI) and the “Earth Beast” United States taking the baton and finishing it in WWII, thus making 1948 possible.
Since the end of WWII, America has led this push of the financial, political and social ideals of Western Democracy to all the nations on the earth relatively quickly using mainly military force, diplomacy (aka bribery and secret deals), and deception-based propaganda. Almost every nation on earth has adopted some form of this democracy “image” as a blueprint for the New World, and the dark spirits behind this new age have the ultimate goal of a newly restored Jerusalem and New Temple as the crowning jewel of their achievement. Once this democracy image is established in each nation, the next phase is for the governments and law enforcement agencies of each nation to turn on their own citizens and mandate allegiance to the beast whose “wound was healed” in Jerusalem. Only a few nations remain who have refused to install America’s democracy image and they are called the axis of evil. We’ll leave you to study and either agree or refute this school of thought.
Throughout history, advisors to top government leaders have operated out of sight of the people, but they wield considerable influence over those leaders. They write their speeches, counsel them on aspects of leadership, and even provide dark spiritual guidance in the areas of astrology, wizardry and even sorcery. Often these advisors would arrange for leaders to be bribed, or assassinated if they could not be influenced in a certain direction. Daniel and his three closest friends (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego), once top advisors to Nebuchadnezzar, fell out of grace and were given an ugly death sentence because they were steadfast in their faith towards the Lord and would not bow down and worship the top Babylonian god-king.

Why did they fall out of grace? Because the other top advisors were jealous of their consistent divine nature and influence that they could not match. Remember, these advisors were from the same Israelite tribes as Daniel and his friends. Going back a bit in their history, you’ll recall that some of the kings of Israel did the right thing by God, but others did very dark, wicked things. But how did these kings get to the point of doing bad things? Jesus Christ Himself would later give us a clue. In condemning the Jewish leaders for their behavior and schemes, He said their forefathers killed the prophets and then tried to cover it up and make the people forget what happened by establishing historic monuments to them.
Why did they do this?
Because the true prophets of the Lord led the Israelite kings to do the right thing by God, which, for the corrupt, lawless advisors, was bad for business because their evil, money-loving plans to govern the Israelites from behind the scenes for their own profit were frustrated. In order to protect their blood-filled, money-making criminal enterprise, they had to make the true prophets look bad to the king and the people, so they shamed them, called them crazy, and if necessary, ran them out of the country or killed them. This is why, in Old Testament books such as Judges, Kings and Chronicles, you see the Israelite kingdoms kept going back and forth, one moment doing things right by the Lord, and then turn around and do things wrong by the Lord. The Lord would punish them in various ways, and then when the people begged for mercy, He would bless them. But the Lord grew tired of this deadly cycle so He divorced them, starting with the 10 Tribes of Israel first (Aholah), and then the remaining 3 Tribes (Aholibah) who did even worse than the 10 Tribes. So once He divorced the last 3 Tribes and sent them into the Babylonian captivity, the same system of bad advisors that led the Israelites down a dark path became even worse under Nebuchadnezzar and beyond. At this point, that Israelites system of wicked advisors became the Harlot that is revealed in Revelation.
Side note: Major global corporations are part of the daughters of this Harlot, helping her carry out her deadly, greedy activities everywhere.
Why is the Harlot’s mystery so successful?
We have downplayed the importance of why psychologists and other so-called experts of the mind have studied us so intensely since the rise of the field of Psychology over 100 years ago. These experts have come to realize that, with enough propaganda, we want to feel like we fit in, that we are “normal” like everyone else and that we don’t want to think other human beings are capable of carrying out cold acts of brutal violence. We especially don’t want to believe such horrible things of ideals we hold dear, such as the American dream and democracy. But the fact is, there is a very sick, deadly system of violence being carried out in the world to advance mankind one step closer to outright worship of Satan. Yet since we don’t want to be considered “different,” we dare not boldly question this contrast and clash of ideals and reality. Somewhere in the dark crevices of this confusion, the mystery of the Harlot has planted seeds and grown like wild weeds in our hearts and minds. But it is time for us to realize that there are very sick, twisted, incredibly violent people in this world who will spare no expense and not be limited by morality to carry out their agenda.
So now what about this Antichrist fellow?
In Daniel and Revelation, and in some of Jesus Christ’s words, we read about little horns speaking big blasphemous things, challenging the very throne of God. The New Testament speaks of a Man of Sin, Son of Perdition, etc. But before we get caught up in the details of every word describing him, we should really focus on what the Bible is trying to say about the Antichrist generally. So let’s recap: we now understand the Beast is a system of governments, and we know that the Harlot is the system of advisors who control the leaders of these governments to do their will. But the Harlot is missing a central figure to represent the messianic figure that is mentioned in the Old Testament. The advisors of the Israelite kings were split in two schools of thought:
- True Prophets of God
- False Prophets
The True Prophets always sought the will of the Lord and pointed the Israelites in the direction of the True Messiah. But the False Prophets did the opposite for their own gain. They told the kings what they wanted to kings to hear in order to flatter the kings and gain influence so that they could profit from it. But since the idea of a Messiah as taught by the True Prophets was a successful message among the people (God sanctioned this idea by allowing the True Prophets to work great miracles), the False Prophets had to offer a competing view of the Messiah, or at least offer a messianic concept that would trick the people into abandoning the True Messiah concept and follow them (they really didn’t care about a Messiah, they only wanted the people to follow them for their secret benefit). So the False Prophets competed against the True Prophets throughout history from the days of King Saul, David and Solomon until the First Coming of Jesus Christ. Let’s call this era the Pre-Antichrist Era.
Why call it Pre-Antichrist?
Because in order to have a full-blown Antichrist, you have to first have a full revealing of Christ, and that happened when Jesus Christ was born the Firstborn Son of God, the Second Adam, becoming Son of Man through the Virgin Mary. In history from Nebuchadnezzar until the Roman Caesar when Jesus Christ came to earth, the 3-tribe Israelites continued to grow in influence as advisors to the Beast kings over Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and then Rome. Along the way, they improved their False Prophet System, expanding it to include elements of pagan deities re-packaged to the non-Israelites on the one hand, while still presenting their False Messiah system to the Israelite remnant on the other hand. By playing both sides against each other, the False Prophets of Israel gained. And Satan, who we see in his dealings with Job, also gained for his united kingdom. Thus, the arrival of Jesus Christ threatened both the False Prophets of Israel and the United Kingdom of Satan.
At this point, history arrives at its biggest crossroads. How do Satan and the False Prophets respond?
Most likely, the advisors of Herod, who themselves felt threatened, influenced him to kill all boys in Jerusalem who are less than two years old. Mary and Joseph, getting tipped off by an Angel of God, escaped to Egypt with the baby Jesus. So that didn’t work. Years later, Satan would tempt Jesus. This temptation was very revealing of how Satan influences the people of the Harlot (False Prophets) and the Beast. The rock-into-bread temptation and the jump-off-the-temple temptation were nothing compared to the I’ll-give-you-the-world’s-governments temptations. This third temptation of Christ shows that, after trying the brute force strategy of sending Herod’s army to kill little boys, Satan would try the softer extreme bribery approach. If Jesus were to bow to him, Satan and his Harlot Antichrist Beast (HAB) system would have converted the True Messiah and win the world. Of course, in this scenario, the False Prophets would have both Jews and Gentiles subject to their behind-the-scenes influence.
But Jesus Christ, the true superhero, rejected Satan. Here’s where a lot of Christians lose focus. Just because Jesus rejected the last temptation, we assume the story is over and there is no need to dig deeper into the Bible and prophecy. Nothing could be further from the truth! We must ask, if Jesus rejected this tempting offer from Satan, did someone else accept it?
Yes!
In the Parable of the Tenants and the Parable of the Tares (Weeds) and the Wheat, Jesus Christ is giving us major clues as to who accepted this temptation: the False Prophets.
In the Tenant Parable, Jesus is basically saying that the Old Testament prophets, both good and bad, as well as the people of Israel and the rest of the world were “tenants.” Among the tenants were “farmers” (Good and Bad Prophets, advisors to government leaders) who maintained the land. The “Landowner” (God) would send servants (True High Prophets) to collect the harvest (those who submitted to the will of the Lord). Some of the farmers became corrupt and would kill the high prophets, and eventually killed the Landowner’s Son, Jesus Christ, so that the Son’s inheritance “can become ours” as the parable states it. This scheme is later backed up by the words of Caiaphas the High Priest who sought to benefit from the murder of Jesus Christ.
What is this inheritance? The entire world and every man, woman and child in it!

Satan tried to tempt Jesus to convert this inheritance over to the dark side, but since Jesus rejected it, Satan allowed the False Prophets to continue to more quickly grow their false messianic system like yeast, the yeast of the Pharisees that Jesus warned us about. The damage from Jesus was done, but Christians cannot ignore the other side of this matter: the fact that the Harlot Antichrist Beast (HAB) system was still in full effect and growing more rapidly after the murder and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Next and Final Temple in Jerusalem will most likely look like this model
Some 2,000 years later, this HAB system has grown like yeast to almost cover the entire globe. The same False Prophet system is in effect, still bribing and assassinating leaders of the Beast and ready to take over Jerusalem to unveil a new Temple of Blasphemy. This New World Temple will have a Holy of Holies that Satan himself will spiritually sit on, consummating the 2,600-year HAB system by seating a False Messiah in Jerusalem, a city which stopped being holy when Jesus was killed by its leaders, and will not be holy again until the HAB system is cast down and smashed to pieces, and its inhabitants say “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” Amen.
